Last Night... The Glory Fell!

Corinne Looking Dignified!

                     Corinne Looking Dignified!

Last night, Wednesday August 26, we began our 7th week of meetings at New Beginnings Fellowship in Hernando, Florida.  (link)  God has been moving so strongly in our midst!  In all of these weeks of meetings no two have been the same!  Last night was no exception.  From the very beginning of worship, the anointing of the Lord was upon us.   Before too much time elapsed, He showered us with His favor and blessings and it was as if He dropped one of His Holy Ghost Atom Bombs directly upon us!

Two ladies, members of another church, were both hearing from the Lord that they were to be in our meeting last night.  They both heard from the Lord during the day yesterday, but hadn't communicated this with each other.  They had another friend visiting from Queens, NY.  They wanted to bring the friend to church, but didn't think about bringing her to New Beginnings.  However, the Lord had other ideas.  They came, visited our meeting, and the lady from NY was so ministered to, so liberated and released!  After the meeting all they could talk about was what God had done, with tears in their eyes, they glorified the Lord!

Then there is Brother Joe.  Joe was in so much pain Sunday morning that he couldn't get out of bed.  His gall bladder was in bad shape.  Joe was scheduled to see a surgeon Monday afternoon.  Joe's been getting lots of prayer.  The doctor said, "Joe, I take a lot of these gall bladders out, I could take yours out too, but YOU DON'T NEED IT OUT... THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!"  Wow!

I can't even begin to tell all that happened last night.  Some, I just cannot recall as I was so caught up in the Spirit myself!  I just know that a word of liberation was released over us last night!  It was powerful!  Towards the end, I do recall my dignified wife running around the room, rattling a set of skeleton keys, shouting, "Freedom!  Freedom!  Freedom!"

And so it goes!  Revival is breaking out in Citrus County, Florida!

Here's a couple of other pictures:

Jesus is My Healer! (My Doctor Too!)

As I type this post, I do so with great difficulty as I have a wrist and arm brace on my right hand.  Yes, all of this computer work has finally caught up with me.  I'm certain that I am dealing with Carpal Tunnel as everything that I've read about it seems to fit me.  The pain in my right arm has been off the charts!  My left arm and hand is effected too, but the right is really bad.

I read about taking Vitamin B6 supplements and that has helped, and with this silly brace on, last night was the first decent night of sleep that I've gotten in a couple of weeks.  It's hard to sleep when every sleeping position creates pain.

It seems like I always have to fight through painful situations.  I've seen many people healed as I've laid my hands on them!  I've watched God heal many instantly, right there on the spot!  I've even gotten a few of those miracle healings myself.  Going to a doctor is out of the question for me!  Corinne and I do not have insurance for that, and to be honest, we don't even have the funds to go for a doctor visit in any way.  So I only have one source for my healing.  I look to My Jesus!  He healed me 2000 years ago!  By His stripes I was healed!  I believe that at all costs!

Last summer I was being attacked by a very demonic physical problem.  The pain was at it's highest peak most of the time.  We had meetings scheduled that required a hour drive one way.  I can recall driving to the meeting in such pain that I didn't think I could do it.  However when I began to minister, God began to move and many were healed of physical attacks, while I was cringing in pain myself.  What's that all about?  I don't know!  I just don't know!  However, I made it a point to pray for as many as possible, I felt that if I were to be attacked like this, that I was going on a crusade to see everyone I could find healed and set free!  Wow... Guess what?  I'm about to go on that crusade again!

So... here's the deal!  If you are in pain, if you have a sickness or disease that is not being healed, send me a personal email.  I want  to pray for you!  I may even contact you so that I can call you and pray over the phone for you.  If you are close to Citrus County, Florida, come to our meetings (Wed-Fri) and I'd love to lay my hands on you!  Yes, even my pain ridden right hand, I'll lay that hand on you and you will be healed!  Hey... so am I, I was healed 2000 years ago!  It doesn't get any better than that!

Here's my email:  [email protected]

P.S.  Feel free to pray for my wrists too!

"The New Beginnings Miracle!"

These days there is a much discussion on what the Church is to look like. Some folks are very outspoken in their views, almost militant! Are there things wrong with the Church today? You got that right Mister! Is God being rocked off His throne by these wrongs? Nah, not in the least bit!

Corinne and I have traveled what we call the, "Highway to Revival" over the past 12 years or so. We've ministered in many churches, large and small, even good and bad. One thing we soon decided on was that if we were ever to be pastors of a local church again, we would have a ton of knowledge that we could apply in how to make that church a great one. We felt that we still did not have all of the answers on how to "do church" right, but we had vast information on how NOT to "do church!" We learned much by viewing others mistakes. Some today are saying that a church should meet in a home setting and call themselves a "Simple Church." Others say that buildings are still necessary. Still others say that there should not be pastors, at least paid pastors. Others say that it's important to call them by their title, often, "Apostle." I have many friends who vow that the structure of the Church as we know it today is about to fall, actually crash and burn. Some state emphatically that the Church as we know it today is a very "old wineskin."

Denzel & Jeremy

Well here is what is happening with us. In November of last year we were asked to hold meetings in a traditional pentecostal/charismatic church in Florida. The meetings extended and soon we found ourselves talking to the pastor about us relieving him of his position for 6 months while he took a much needed sabbatical. In January of this year we took over this church. Then in February we were made permanent full time pastors. This church was about to close its doors. The people were as burned out as the pastor was. Many more were about to jump ship. We immediately began to institute radical changes, much to the chagrin of the experts who suggest that a new pastor does not muddy the water of a church too quickly. We had to muddy the water and do it quick, for the sake of church survival. We began immediately affirming the people, telling them that this church was "their church" and that they were to take ownership of it. We taught over and again that the Church was NOT the building, but them. We began to release them into ministry, encouraging them to minister to each other. We began to teach about covenant relationships and spoke all of the time about "advancing the Kingdom of God." Slowly we began to watch distrusting, wary faces, become faces of excited people as they began to see themselves as God sees them.

Soon something very interesting began to take place, we began to fall in love with our people! I really mean this! We actually began to fall in love with them! Then we began to sense that they were falling in love with us too! Now we are actually observing them falling in love with each other! Yesterday was a prime example. Corinne preached a powerful word. After she began to prophetically minister to the people who came forward. While this was taking place, I was sitting on a chair, caught up in the love of the Lord, grinning like a Cheshire Cat! One Sister said, "You sure are enjoying watching this aren't you?" She hit it right on the head with that statement, I was having the time of my life! One thing happened that summed it all up for me....Two sisters were on the floor, kneeling and crying like babies. These gals were separated in age by about 40 years. The younger of the two, several months ago, had made the statement that there were not too many people her age in the church. Well, age didn't matter yesterday as I saw these two begin to love and minister to each other. One ministered to the other and more tears flowed. They hugged each other for several minutes and then the other began to minister to the other, and more tears flowed. Suddenly age had no bearing on anything, as they were both giving and receiving ministry. And I didn't do a thing but just watch and enjoy every precious moment! They were loving each other!

I'm coming to a conclusion, that it doesn't matter what type of church you have, Simple, Institutional, Traditional, etc., etc., If the leadership is not allowing ministry to flow and is not dependent on the Holy Spirit, then nothing will work right. Our church, New Beginnings Fellowship in Hernando, Florida is a special place! (our website, copy/paste it into your browser as this blog platform does not allow hyperlinks: God is moving in power, but I'm observing something very special take place. I'm watching this group of people begin to fulfill the calling that God has on their lives. Lately I've been talking about, "The New Beginnings Miracle!" This part of Florida is about to explode in Holy Ghost Revival! The Kingdom of God is about to be advanced in powerful ways! Folks, this goes so far beyond "church as usual!" Here's the deal, I want to be right in the middle of this imminent move of God! The vision of our church is to be there too! Even more, our vision is to take Citrus County, Florida by storm! Here's the neat thing... I really believe that this is going to happen! I feel that is why God brought two Revivalists off the "Highway to Revival" and settled them in a local church. I tell people all of the time that I'm still a Revivalist first, pastor second! the Church in Florida, I say, "Hold onto your hats, you are about to take the ride of your life!"

More Lord! Oh, and to quote a pastor friend of mine, "I love my job!"

Wow...What a Meeting!

Our powerful meetings continue at New Beginnings Fellowship in Hernando, Florida. You can check out our website at:

This morning's meeting was off the charts! God is just doing such a wonderful thing in our church! We are having services far different than normal! We want that to happen! As a pastor I am not limiting the Holy Spirit in any way. I want to see Him move in our midst, even if I don't get to preach or do my traditional "pastor thing." It's not about me, it's about God, about advancing His Kingdom! Our people are growing like mad! They are ministering to each other, and just a few months ago, they didn't think they could of didn't think they would be allowed to do this.

Our church is coming alive! The people are burning with revival fire and things are happening.

It just don't get any better than this!

I love my Job!

Re-post of "The Mad House"

October 10, 2007

The Mad House

Jenny was anxiously pacing the floor.  She had just arrived home from eight hours of work and two hours of commuting time.  During the prior twenty minutes she had quickly served Ryan and Rachel a quick dinner of Mac & Cheese, bread and butter and a glass of milk.  Jenny's pacing was due to the late home coming of her salesman husband, Jason.  Jason's new insurance agent job demanded a very erratic schedule, often bringing him home at odd hours of the evening.

Jenny's impatience was due to the events that were scheduled at their church that week.  Pastor Sam had invited Larry and Corinne Silverman in for special meetings for the week, and here it was already Thursday night and thus far their busy family hadn't been able to make even one meeting!  Jason and Jenny had spoken over the weekend and made a pledge to themselves that they would try to get to every meeting, as Pastor Sam had said that Larry and Corinne were Revivalists and that they had a heart and passion on seeing God move once again in the American Church.  He also said that there would be a strong personal prophetic flow of ministry during these meetings, and Jenny and Jason acknowledged to each other how spiritually dry they really were.  Normally this couple made a successful effort to attend their church faithfully every Sunday morning, but making any other church functions was becoming very difficult.

In spite of their conversation over the weekend, Jenny and Jason's great plans of attending as many of Larry and Corinne's meetings were completely frustrated.  Monday night was missed due to Jenny's unexpected district manager showing up at the office that day.  He had brought her accounting department to a frenzy as he told the entire staff exactly how dysfunctional they really were.  Jenny drove home late Monday afternoon with a killer headache.  Church was out of the question!

Then Tuesday.... hummm... what was it?  Oh yes, Jason had a late afternoon sales appointment with a interested potential client.  He and Jenny prayed together about this appointment before he left the house that morning, as the commission from that sale would more than take care of the immediate financial pressure.  It seemed lately that closed sales and commissions thereof, were becoming fewer and fewer as the economic slowdown in their State was making his prospective clients very nervous about spending any new money.  So Tuesday morning came and Jenny and Jason did pray together about closing that deal.  Jenny found this emergency prayer session rather awkward as they no longer found too much time to pray together lately.  The plan was for Jason to get home early enough so the entire family could attend the Silverman's meeting.  Jason pulled into the driveway around 6 p.m. with just enough time to grab a bite to eat and head to the meeting.  However, when He opened the front door, Jenny saw the disappointment and rejection on his face.  The "hot client" turned out to be a "tire kicker."  After a tremendous presentation of a product that Jason aptly demonstrated would work far better and be less expensive for the potential client, Jason was greeted with the words, "I want to think about it!"  Using every sales closing technique that Jason had ever learned, plus some that he had just invented, he could not close that very much needed sale!  There was no going to church Tuesday night!

Jenny's Wednesday lunch was interrupted by a incoming text message on her cell phone.  The "SOS Message" was from Rachael..."Mom.. Coach just called a special volleyball practice.. It's mandatory!"  Over the weekend Jenny and Jason had spoken to Ryan and Rachel and had informed them that they felt that going to these meetings at church and having Larry and Corinne minister to them was most important, so all extra activities would be curtailed for the week as getting closer to God would be more important than Ryan's cross country and Rachael's volleyball.  They would take a week long hiatus from all school extra-curricular activities so that they could get a good impartation of God into their lives.  those plans were placed on hold Wednesday, not just due to Rachael's 911 text message, but also by Ryan's 3:00 P.M phone call to his mom.  Ryan needed a ride to Steve's house as he and his lab partner, Steve, were planning on working on a very important Biology term project that they had to turn in next week.  The project had been assigned 3 weeks earlier, but for some strange reason, it just didn't get worked on then.  Jenny became "Taxi Cab Mom" once again!  By the time she walked into the house after all of her shuttle bus work, the time was already 6:50 P.M.  With nothing to eat since lunch Jenny decided that she and Jason would stay home once again and order a pizza.

So here it was  6:30 Thursday evening, Jason still wasn't home.  She couldn't get too upset with him as maybe he was able to get back with his Monday client and finally convince him to sign on the dotted line.  At least that's what Jenny was thinking when suddenly Jason pulled into the drive way.  He made his way to the front door with his laptop in one hand and his briefcase in the other.  As he came through the front door he said, "No church tonight Honey... I've got some very important work to do!"  Jenny's dejected look was soon replaced by a smile as she thought, "Oh well, tonight won't be so bad after all.... "Survivor" is on TV!"

When Sunday came there was a buzz in the air at church from the small group that actually was able to make some of the special meetings.  Pastor Sam seemed refreshed as his ministry calling had been confirmed and God had given him new direction for the church.  Several other families seemed to glow like they had been in the presence of the Lord.

On the way home from Sunday's service, Jason said to Jenny......"Maybe next time!"

What says the Lord?........

The Dangers of the Last Days
1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

1 John 2:15-17 (New Living Translation)

15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Luke 14:16-24 (New Living Translation)

16 Jesus replied with this story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. 17 When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests, ‘Come, the banquet is ready.’ 18 But they all began making excuses. One said, ‘I have just bought a field and must inspect it. Please excuse me.’ 19 Another said, ‘I have just bought five pairs of oxen, and I want to try them out. Please excuse me.’ 20 Another said, ‘I now have a wife, so I can’t come.’

21 “The servant returned and told his master what they had said. His master was furious and said, ‘Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’ 22 After the servant had done this, he reported, ‘There is still room for more.’ 23 So his master said, ‘Go out into the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. 24 For none of those I first invited will get even the smallest taste of my banquet.’”

Matthew 6:33 (New Living Translation)

33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

To Revival or Not to Revival.... That is the question?

I  think that my speech often becomes redundant!  I mean, after all, how many ways can one state that what God is doing in their church is "Awesome?"  Even the word, "awesome" is so over worked these days!  Yet, how does one tell the world about what God is doing?  I'd love to get on the roof of "Pilgrim I, our motor home, and shout to the world that, Jesus is moving in in powerful ways in our church.

This Tuesday evening we began our 6th week of extended meetings. (New Beginnings Fellowship in Hernando, FL) link  We are calling these meetings, "Spreading the Fire!"  That is what has happened in our midst night after night, as no two meetings have been alike.  The Fire of God has fallen on us and we wish to share it with the world!

However, the interesting thing is that not too many in the Church World seem to interested in Revival!  Night after night the glory of God has been falling in our midst and we wish to share this with every church or group that is open to a move of God.  However, Alas!  Not too many are open to a move of God, and I just don't understand why!  We have been seeing people healed, set free from all their personal afflictions!  Who wouldn't want that?  What pastor wouldn't want true revival in his/her church?  I guess there are many who are just too busy for Revival!  Wow... I don't get it!

So the question is, "Revival or Not to Revival?"  As for me and my house the question is clear, it's been settled years ago!  I know that church without God moving is just one more dead form!  To see Revival hit a church there first must be a dissatisfaction with the current spiritual status quo.  Prior to the Hebrides Revival of 1953 two old, feeble, sickly sisters were totally dissatisfied with their church.  They saw many people, especially the youth, staying away from the public meetings of their church.  The sister's hearts were broken by this situation and they decided to do something about it.  They began to Pray!  Soon a barn was shaken with the presences of the Lord and the Fire of Revival was begun!  God did it back then and He'll surely do it again now!

My old apostle friend, Myron Anderson, used to tell Corinne, and I, "Go to where the Fire is burning!"  We've  tried to follow Myron's advice the best we can .  Maybe that is why we are Revivalists at heart and always will be!  We'll alway be in the River or under the Fire!

Kingdom Blessings!

We Get Sooooo Busy!

Have you ever considered how busy we are these days?  I can recall, many years ago, an elementary school science teacher telling us that society and people  in the future would have so much free time on their hands that they would turn into just blobs of lazy flesh and blood.  The reason?  Modern Technology!  How about that?  Back in the worlds seers envisioned a group of lazy people due to all of the time that the technology of the day would offer them.  OK, we've got the technology, but is anything really getting simplified? Are we really working less?  Hum-mm... not me!  Now added to everything else is Facebook and Twitter!  Give me a break!  Our church is working on webcasting.  Do you have any idea of the work it takes to get that up and running?  And...for what reason?  Could it be that we're only making people a better way to stay home from church, they now can watch a meeting on their computer! The truth is that I've been so bad at keeping this blog updated lately, that I had to come up with an excuse or two.  OK... You've got one anyway....I've been busy!
Hum-mm, maybe it's time to smell the roses this afternoon! What do you think?Kingdom blessings!
