Larry's Musings for Monday, Dec. 1: "It's Florida!"
Greetings from Hernando, FL...
Yesterday's combined meetings with New Beginnings Fellowship and Joy and Praise Fellowship were great! It's such a great blessing for us to see 2 churches come together and press into region wide revival. We really appreciate pastors Jeff Burke and Rick Nelson for being willing to press in for such a time as this. We look forward to the balance of the meetings, thus far scheduled through Wednesday night.
We sense that several States are earmarked by God for great and powerful expansion of the Kingdom. However, right now God has called us to concentrate on one. We have a great anticipation in our spirits in regards to the State of Florida. Over the years, there have been several revival breakouts in Florida, including the recent Pensacola and Lakeland Outpourings. I am certain that these only scratch the surface as to God's plans for the Sunshine State!
I am currently praying though several dreams and visions that the Lord has given me in regards to Florida breaking out in waves of Revival Fire. I'll be sharing more about this in the days ahead. However, right now, I'd like to recall your memory back to the very vital 2000 Presidential Election. Do you remember how important Florida was to our Nation back then? We will never forget the addition to our vocabulary, "Hanging Chads!"
The other day I sensed the Lord reminding me of that Election and brought back to remembrance the words of the late Tim Russert, Moderator of NBC's, "Meet the Press." Tim was also a very observant political reporter, who seemed to be bolstered by the fresh challenges and excitement that came around every 4 years! If you recall, Tim's "political prophetic words" for the 2000 Election was, "It's Florida, Florida, Florida!" I feel that the Lord is saying to us today that Tim's words were not just about President Bush's defeat of Al Gore, but rather much more so on what God's purposes are for the Nation and this State.
Currently "Snow Birds" from across America are heading for the Sunshine State. What would happen if they would encounter Revival while here? Then those same Snow Birds will head home next Spring, taking and spreading a great move of God through out America! This is only one aspect of what's stirring within me about Florida. Again, I'll be sharing more with you in the days ahead. However, in the meantime, I'd like to repeat the words of Tim Russert...."It's Florida, Florida, Florida!"
