OK... Now's the time to take a deep, deep breath!  God's got everything under control!  To prove it, He made a subtle, yet obvious statement yesterday, (Monday Sept. 29) after the great "Bail Out" failed to pass Congress.  They say that on Wall Street, the very second the Congressional vote failed to produce the greatest tax payer bail out of corporate America ever, the Dow Jones numbers began to immediately plummet.  The final tally was a record fall of 777 points! 

Here's some interesting input on the number 777.    The triple sevens (777) numerically symbolizes God, the Father of Jesus the Messiah.(the Father of us all!) and the Holy Spirit.   He is the pinnacle of perfection, power and purity.   As far as Scripture is concerned, seven is the number of perfection and holiness.  The number 777 numerically expresses the Almighty's Truth as regards His 7th day Sabbath, His 7 annual Sabbaths, His 7th year Sabbath and His 7th thousand year Sabbath - the millennium.

As I have recently written, there is a POWERFUL shaking currently taking place in  America, actually the world.  I'm thinking that God is trying to speak to us loud and clear.  Here's what He is saying to us..."America and the World... I'm at work violently shaking all that you hold dear.... your perception of a  safe and  secure way of life is being threatened, only because you have placed more faith in it than in Me.  You have allowed "things" and life style to take precedent over me!  I am displeased, My heart is grieved over this!  Therefore I am shaking these "things" at their very roots!  In this I am showing My People the only safe place to be in these times... is the exact middle of MY UNSHAKABLE KINGDOM!"  (See Hebrews 12: 25-29)

Finally, in regards to the upcoming American election, I have to sound out a clear warning.  Friends, much of our problem in America is due to our past slaps in the face of the Living God.  He's the God who has commanded that we honor life.  When a Nation continues to go against God's word and His will, that Nation will suffer.  I have held back from allowing "The River is Here" to become political.  I've vented my political ideas elsewhere, but I no longer can keep silent here.  I know many pastors and people who love God just as much as I do, have  suggested to me that they will vote for the candidate of the Democratic Party.  I've heard many convincing arguments why this would be right and even permissible.  However, I can not agree!  I  can not find any justification to vote for anyone, even on a local level, that would affiliate him/herself with a political party that condones the murder of our children!

OK... Ahora es el tiempo de respirar profundamente.  ¡Dios tiene todo bajo control!  Para prueba ayer, lunes 29 de septiembre, nos dio una sutil y al mismo tiempo evidente demostración de esto cuando el gran plan “Bail Out” o “Paquete de Rescate Financiero” no fue aprobado por el Congreso.  Se dice que en Wall Street, en el preciso instante que el voto del Congreso no aprobó el plan de rescate financiero más grande de toda la historia, el promedio en el Dow Jones comenzó a desplomarse.  El resultado final fue una caída record de 777 puntos.

He aquí algunos datos interesantes acerca del numero 777.  El triple siete (777) numéricamente simboliza a Dios, el Padre de Jesús, al Mesías, (el Padre de todos nosotros) y al Espíritu Santo.  Es el pináculo de la perfección, el poder y la pureza.  De acuerdo a las Escrituras, el número siete es el número de la perfección y la santidad.  El número 777, expresa numéricamente el Poder de la Verdad, el 7° día, Sábado,  Sus 7 Sábados anuales, Su 7° año Sabático y su 7mil año Sabático- el milenio.

Como he escrito recientemente, hoy en día se está dando un PODEROSO sacudir en América, de hecho en todo el mundo.  Pienso que Dios está tratando de hablar con nosotros en voz fuerte y clara.  Esto es lo que nos está diciendo: “América y el Mundo Entero… Estoy  sacudiendo violentamente todo lo que aman… su percepción de lo que es un modo seguro de vida está siendo fuertemente amenazada por haber puesto más fe en ella que en Mi.  Han permitido que “cosas” y estilo de vida tomen prioridad sobre Mi.  Estoy disgustado, Mi corazón está entristecido.  Por lo tanto estoy arrancando estas “cosas” desde su raíz.  Por medio de esto, estoy instruyendo a mi Pueblo que el único lugar seguro donde estar hoy en día…es exactamente en medio de MI REINO, ¡EL CUAL NO PUEDE SER QUEBRANTADO! (Hebreos 12: 25-29)

Finalmente, en cuanto a las próximas elecciones Americanas,  debo enviar un mensaje de advertencia muy clara.  Amigos, gran parte del problema en América se debe a las bofetadas dirigidas hacia el rostro de nuestro Dios Viviente.  El es el Dios que nos ha mandado a que honremos la vida.  Cuando una Nación continua andando en contra de la Palabra y Voluntad de Dios, la Nación va a sufrir.  Me he restringido a permitir que este blog, “El Rio está Aquí” se convierta en una plataforma política.  He soltado mis ideas políticas en otros sitios, pero ya no puedo seguir callando.  Conozco a muchos pastores y gente que aman a Dios tanto como yo, y me han insinuado que van a votar por el candidato del Partido Demócrata. He escuchado muchos argumentos convincentes del porque esto sería correcto y permisible.  Sin embargo, NO puedo estar de acuerdo!  No encuentro ninguna razón válida que justifique el hecho de que vote por nadie que se alié con un partido que apruebe la matanza de nuestros niños, ni aun a nivel local.

Larry's Musings for Monday, Sept. 29: "The Bail Out!"

Greetings from Mechanicsburg, PA...

From this morning's news, it looks as if Congress will pass a modified bill of President Bush's Wall Street Bail Out Plan.  I don't like it!  My feelings are that those banks and their leaders should be "deep six-ed!"  These guys think nothing about foreclosing on John and Jane Doe, even if they are subject to bad economic conditions, often due to things out of their control, like job losses or illness.  Yet, now these companies are in trouble and Uncle Sam bails them out.  My thinking is... Bail out John and Jane Doe instead, let the Wall Street "Fat Cats" sink with their crooked ship!

That's my thoughts for the day!  Deep huh?  I'm just thankful that Jesus is in control!

Special Blog: No Fear, God IS in Control!

Greetings from New York State...

Did you watch the news last night?  Did you listen to President Bush's speech last night?  How about Sen. McCain saying that he is going to suspend his campaign for a season?  Have you ever seen anything like this in America?  Have you checked out the gas pump today?  What's with the price of a gallon of milk?   What in the world is going on?

As a Revivalist, I'm pumped!  These are exciting times for me.  Oh yes, my heart does go "pitter-patter" when we pull "Pilgrim 1" up to the gas pump, but Corinne and I are getting ourselves ready and in position for what we sense will be the Greatest Awakening Ever! 

America's false props are getting knocked out from under us.  Even some of the great ministries are being hit hard with financial problems.   the other day I watched one famous TV Preacher spend 10 minutes telling how desperate his ministry was for all of those "letters!" 

Again, I ask, "What in the world is going on?"

I've written on this before, but we MUST understand that we are in the Last Days!  This is fact and truth!  You HAVE to believe this!  If you understand God's timing in all of this, you will begin to live your life accordingly! That means it might be a good time to "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all of these other things will be added unto you!"  (My paraphrase of Matthew 6:33)  Take a look at 2 Timothy 3: 1-5, (NLT)...

The Dangers of the Last Days

" 1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!"

If we understand what Paul was saying to Timothy, even a little, we'll have great understanding of what is going on in America and the World today.

Secondly, we have to also understand Hebrews 12: 25-29 (NLT)...

 "25 Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven! 26 When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.”[a] 27 This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.

 28 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. 29 For our God is a devouring fire."

Friends, God is getting us ready to march into the greatest time this World has ever seen.  It's not the time for fear, it's the time of proper positioning as we will soon be getting our marching orders, directly from the Lord of Hosts (the Captain of the Lord's Armies!)

We are hearing, Revival, Revival, Revival!  And this "Revival" isn't going to be your Momma's  kind of revival.  This Revival is going to advance the Kingdom of God like this World has never seen!

Are you ready for your marching orders?  I hope so!

One last thing...  In the mid 1800's a great Christan Anthem was penned.  When I hear, "Onward Christan Soldiers" a shiver runs up and down my spine.  Please take a minute and check out this link.  The melody is here too, so I feel that the link is better than just copy and pasting the words to my blog.

Larry's Musings for Wed. Sept. 24: "The Truth Is....!"

More Greetings from the Hudson River Valley, NY...

I'm certain that you've heard the expression, "The fact of the matter is....."  It's so interesting how "matter of fact" we Americans are!  Yet, the Lord has been showing us that there is a very marked difference between facts and truth!  See the fact may be that you are sick, however the truth is that you are healed by the stripes (the great beating that Jesus took just prior to going to the cross for our sins) of Jesus Christ!

Don't give up on contending for your healing, no matter what the facts may say.... the real truth of the matter is that you were healed 2000 years ago. 

"Now may the Lamb that was slain receive the true reward for His suffering!"  Let Jesus be glorified today in the healing of your body as He took the beating just for you!

How about laying your hand on your computer screen right now and agreeing with me...Lord this person is healed right now in the name of Jesus Christ!  Lord Jesus receive all of the glory for this act!

Thank you Lord for healing this one 2000 years ago!  It shall be fully manifested this day!

When Revival Hits the Grass Roots

Greetings from the Hudson Valley, New York....

All over America there is a cry emanating from the "Grass Roots," which is shouting forth..."We want only God and none of man's stuff!"  We hear it from where ever we travel on the "Highway to Revival."  We are witnessing within the hearts of the Saints a dissatisfaction with current spiritual conditions like never before.

Last week, in Binghamton, New York, we observed first hand what a group of hungry, thirsty Christians can do for their community.  For years God has placed a burden on the heart of a hungry, passionate for Jesus, associate pastor, for a move of Church unity in the the Greater Binghamton Area.  So early this summer God encouraged Barry Bowers and other area grass roots Saints to begin a series of nightly meetings and actually run them for a total of 11 weeks.  A leadership team was formed,   much prayer and faith went into operation, a theme/title was set and the vision for "It's All About Jesus!" became reality.  An old, abandoned super market was procured, and 12 weeks ago the nightly meetings  began.

From the first meeting God began to move and lives were changed.  There was a little section of carpet in front of the makeshift platform, and over and over again we heard how that carpet was, "tear stained!" 

There were some nights when only a small handful of people showed up, other nights there were many.  However the testimony that we heard, over and again, was that just about every night the presence of God was so strong and that the people present were just totally immersed in the Glory of God!

Corinne and I were invited to bring the meetings up to to their Grand Finale, Sunday night.  (the pictures are from Sunday night's meeting)  We began ministry on Monday night and continued through the week, then bringing more ministry for Sunday night's blow out service.  400 chairs were set up for Sunday night's meeting and there couldn't have been 50 remaining empty.  Now remember, the interesting thing about these meetings was that they were instituted by the people, NOT the local churches.  Actually pastors stayed away from these meetings by the droves!  What a shame that they couldn't get the vision of what was happening!

The worship was powerful, often flowing with tears streaming down the face of the worship team and those present!

                                                                                           

Now here's the promise of God... Those who hunger and thirst (for righteousness sake) will be filled!  We saw this portrayed in great ways last week.... hungry and thirsty people will never again be satisfied with state of religious status quo!  What we saw born in Bingahamton is the beginning of a "Kingdom Revival Center!" 

Lord, let Your Fire fall in the Binghamton Area!

Larry's Musings for Monday, Sept. 22: "On the Road Again!"

Greetings from soon to be departed Binghamton, NY...

The alarm went off at 6:00 a.m.   There's nothing too strange about that as we usually get up between 6:30 and 7:00 daily.  However, this morning is a little different in that we never got to bed till around Midnight.  Last night was the grand finale of "It's All About Jesus," the grass roots move of God that lasted 11 weeks here in the Greater Binghamton Area.  For the last week Corinne and I have been serving these people and ministering our hearts out.  Last night was no exception as about 350 people gathered in a old, vacant super market, worshiped the Lord together and received a tremendous impartation of anointing and excitement.  Can you say Revival is in the air?

I'll write more about these meetings just as soon as I get a chance, maybe tomorrow, however, they were Kingdom in nature!  There were many healed and we felt that our job as Revivalists was completed as we managed to "Mess the Saints up!"  In other words.... the Lord used us to help stir people up so that they will never again be satisfied with the "same ole', same ole!"

The reason we are up so early is that we are "breaking camp" and heading for the Hudson River Valley Area of New York State.  This is about a 4 1/2 hour run for us.  We do begin a new meeting tonight, so we wish to get to our destination, get somewhat set up, get a little rest and bask in the Glory of God again tonight!

Yep... I love my job!

Please pray for us today, as we always need prayer cover on the days when we travel the "Highway to Revival!"

Larry's Musings for Sunday, Sept. 21: "It's All About Jesus!"

More Greetings from Binghamton, NY....

We finish our meetings here today.  First thing in the morning we break camp and head to the Hudson Valley Area of New York State.  We have a meeting there already tomorrow evening and we're looking forward to God's Fire being released there.

Tonight is our last night of ministry at: "It's All About Jesus."  Tonight is the Grand Finale (or.. just the new beginning) of 11 weeks of nightly meetings, hosted by a grass roots group of hungry people.  We've been ministering to several hundred hungry, expectant Saints this week and we're looking for tonight's meeting to be a blow out for sure!

Here's a brief outline of my message tonight, unless the Lord changes it of course! 

1. Mark 5: 21-43... Jesus is the miracle worker. 
   
2. Matthew 11: 1-4... The signs of His ministry... the blind see, the deaf hear, the lepers are healed, etc.
3. Hebrews 13:8...He's still the same!
4. Colossians 1:24...We are the Body of Christ.
5. Colossians 1: 25-29... The mystery... Christ in us is the hope of Glory!
6. Jn. 14:12... The next level... We will do Greater Works!
7. II Timothy 1: 6-7...Close and impartation's of spiritual gifts so that all can do the work of the ministry!

Our purpose is to release the Saints to do the works of the ministry.

Hummmm... Yep.. I'm pumped!  I'm expecting a blow out of the Spirit tonight!

Larry's Musings for Friday, Sept. 19: "I Really, Really Love My Job!"

More from Binghamton, NY....

I think it was Tuesday night's meeting at "It's All About Jesus" that we had a Sister present who had bad hips, had constant pain and had to walk with a cane.  We ministered to her and she said she felt heat going through her hips.  She had a fear of "falling in the Spirit" so we asked her to just sit in a chair.  I and others laid hands on her and when I was done with her, I left her to minister to others.  A few minutes later I was about to quit as the anointing was leaving me.  I sat in a front row chair and noted the lady with the hip problem.  She stood up, without her cane, and a look of complete astonishment came over her!  She was completely surprised by the healing virtue of Jesus Christ!  This was one of those sights that will ever be embedded in my heart and mind!

Oh... it gets better... About 10 minutes later, the worship team was leading us into some wonderful worship and I looked over to my left and what do you think I saw???  It was the Sister with the bad.. no healed hips, dancing before the Lord! 

Yep... I really, really love my job!

Do You Eat Hot Dogs Every Day? ¿Come Usted los Perros calientes Cada Día?

The past two nights we've ministered in some pretty powerful meetings here.  Several of the local leaders have been releasing a vision that they've had from the Lord, that of gathering the local Body of Christ together and seeking him for area wide revival.  For the past 10 weeks these people have been worshiping the Lord, forming wonderful relationships, lifting up Jesus in an abandoned grocery store.  They have called these meetings, "It's All About Jesus!"  And surely it is... and surely He's been showing up in powerful ways.

This week is the last week for these meetings and Corinne and I have been asked to minister and God has been blessing with signs, wonders and miracles following!  Awesome!!

Last night I felt to minister on past Revival moves.  I began by sharing with the over 100 people present a thought... "If you eat hot dogs every day and never knew that there was chicken, beef, good Chinese food, etc. you would be alive, most likely be satisfied as you would be filled with some type of food.  So if you never knew that steak existed, you most likely would happily settle for a daily hot dog diet!  (urp!  gurgle!)

In many ways this is the great problem with the Church.  We are so content settling for what we have, not knowing that there is so much more of God to experience.  The problem is that we just don't know that it exists!

As a Revivalist, my goal in life is to mess people up!  I always want to talk about big steaks, great feasts that go way beyond just a hot dog diet. 

Here's what I mean.....   Last night I asked the people present, "How many have heard of Charles Finney? (remember, that Finney ministered extensively in New York State) and about 25% of the crowd raised their hands.  I asked how many have heard of the Welsh Revival and a few less hands were raised.  I asked about Azusa Street and even fewer hands were raised.  I then asked how many have heard of the Great Awakening 1, the Great Awakening 2 or the Cane Ridge Revival and hardly a hand was raised.  I then asked about the Hebrides Revival and the Moravian Revival and only 2 hands were raised, one being my wife's and the other one of the local leaders.  It was then that I mentioned that any pastors present should please take notice of these raised hands... or better yet, take notice of all of the hands not raised!  Wow... those hands remaining on laps, not being rasied spoke to me loud and clear!

I then read some of Duncan Campbell's report about the Hebrides Revival and then the Lord helped me turn the crowd into Messed Up Revivalists! 

I've said it before, and I'll say it again....I sure wish every pastor that has a heart for true Kingdom Revival would spend just one Sunday a month telling the past stories of Revival.  Pastor... you owe it to yourself, to your congregation to teach your people about Charles Finney.  Your people need to know that the Cane Ridge Revival was one of the single most important events in winning the West!  Your people need to know the ramifications that came from the Azusa Street Move, maybe your denominational roots came from those meetings.  I could go on... but if we don't tell people that steak exists, they will settle for hod dogs!   And ahhhh.... that is the rub here... Maybe as leaders in the Church, we're settling for hot dogs ourselves! 

Yep, after talking about "steak" last night, I told the folks about Evan Robert's prayer that he taught his people just prior to the Welsh Revival...."God send your Spirit to Wales for Jesus Christ's sake!"  I then had the folks draw the "ole revival circle" around themselves and had them pray, "God send your Spirit to My Circle for Jesus Christ's sake!"  Yes... Lord let true Kingdom Revival begin in me today!  May it likewise begin in you today as well!

Los saludos de Binghamton, Nueva York...

Las pasadas dos noches que hemos ministered en algunos las reuniones poderosas bonitas aquí. Varios de los líderes locales han estado soltando una visión que ellos han tenido del Señor, eso de reunir el Cuerpo local de Cristo junto y lo buscando para área el resurgimiento ancho. Para las pasadas 10 semanas estas personas han estado venerando al Señor, formando las relaciones maravillosas, levantando a Jesus en una tienda de ultramarinos abandonada. ¡Ellos han llamado estas reuniones, "Es Todo acerca de Jesus"! Y seguramente es... y seguramente El ha estado apareciendo en maneras poderosas.

¡Esta semana es el la semana pasada para estas reuniones y Corinne y yo he sido preguntado al ministro y Dios ha estado bendiciendo con signos, las maravillas y los milagros que siguen! ¡Impresionante!!

Anoche sentía al ministro en movimientos pasados de Resurgimiento. Empecé compartiendo con las más de 100 personas presenta un pensó... "Si usted come los perros calientes cada día y nunca supo que había pollo, la carne de vaca, alimento chino bueno, etc. que usted estaría vivo, más probable es satisfecho como usted sería llenado de algún tipo de alimento. ¡Tan si usted nunca supo ese filete existido, usted más probable se asentaría felizmente para una dieta diaria del perro caliente!

En muchos sentidos esto es el gran problema con la Iglesia. Somos asentar tan contentos para lo que tenemos, no sabiendo que hay tanto más de Dios para experimentar. ¡El problema es que nosotros justo no sabemos que existimos!

¡Cuando un Evangelista, mi objetivo en la vida es de desordenar a personas! Yo siempre quiero hablar de filetes grandes, gran banquetes que van la manera más allá de justo una dieta de perro caliente.

Aquí está lo que significo. .... ¿Anoche pedí que las personas presentaran, "cuántos ha oído de Charles Finney? (Recuerde, que ministered de Finney extensamente en Estado de Nueva York) y acerca de 25% de la multitud levantó las manos. Pedí cuántos ha oído del Resurgimiento galés y unos pocos menos manos fueron levantadas. Pregunté por la Calle de Azusa e incluso menos manos fueron levantadas. Yo entonces pedí cuántos ha oído del Gran Despertar 1, el Gran Despertar 2 o el Resurgimiento de la Arista de Caña y apenas una mano fue levantada. Yo entonces pregunté por el Resurgimiento de Hébridas y el Resurgimiento de Moravian y sólo 2 manos fueron levantadas, uno es mi mujer y el otro de los líderes locales. ¡Fue entonces que mencioné que ningún pastor presenta debe complacer hace caso de estas manos levantadas... o mejor todavía, hace caso de todas las manos no levantado! ¡Ah... esas manos que quedan en regazo, no ser rasied hablaron conmigo perfectamente!

¡Yo entonces leí algunos del informe de Duncan Campbell acerca del Resurgimiento de Hébridas y entonces el Señor me ayudó giro la multitud en Desordenó a Evangelistas!

Yo lo he dicho antes, y yo lo diré otra vez. ...I el deseo seguro cada pastor que tiene un corazón para el Resurgimiento verdadero del Reino pasaría sólo un el domingo un mes que dice las historias pasadas del Resurgimiento. El pastor... usted se lo debe a usted mismo, a su congregación para enseñar a sus personas acerca de Charles Finney. ¡Sus personas necesitan para saber que el Resurgimiento de la Arista de Caña fue uno de las solas la mayoría de los acontecimientos importantes a ganar el Oeste! Sus personas necesitan para saber las ramificaciones que vinieron del Movimiento de la Calle de Azusa, quizá sus raíces sectarias vinieron de esas reuniones. ¡Podría pasar... pero si nosotros no decimos a personas que ese filete existe, ellos se asentarán para perros de capacho! Y ahhhh. ... que es el frota aquí... ¡Quizá como líderes en la Iglesia, nosotros nos asentamos para los perros calientes nosotros mismos!

¡Sí, después de que hablando de "filete" anoche, yo dije las gente acerca de la oración de Evan Robert que él enseñó a sus personas justo antes del Resurgimiento galés. Dios ...” Le envía su Espíritu a Gales para la consideración de Jesucristo"! ¡Yo entonces tuve las gente dibujan el "el círculo del resurgimiento de ole" alrededor de sí mismos y los tuvieron oran, "Dios Le envía su Espíritu a Mi Círculo para la consideración de Jesucristo"! Sí... ¡El señor permitió el Resurgimiento que verdadero del Reino empieza en mí hoy! ¡Puedelo empieza igualmente en usted hoy también!

Larry's Musings for Monday, Sept. 15: "It's All About Jesus!"

Again, greetings from S. Gibson, PA...

Yep, I have an Internet signal again today, so I'm taking advantage of it by writing on my blog. 

Yesterday's meeting at Sozo Ministries in Johnson City, NY was really great!  Steve, Tammy and Ken are some of the neatest people and have a great heart and passion for seeing Kingdom advancement in their Region.  We're very blessed to be a small part of this ministry.

There is another group of Saints who likewise feel called to advance the Kingdom in Broome County, NY.  This summer they began nightly unity meetings, calling them, "All About Jesus."  This is the last week of these meetings and they are expecting a powerful move of God.  We have been asked to minster tonight and maybe into more of the week.  Either way, we've felt impressed of the Lord to change our schedule some and stay in this region one more week.  It is so good to be free to do this kind of thing and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our scheduling.   

I keep thinking that, "It is All About Jesus!"  By stating this, I'm not just talking about a series of meetings using this title and theme.  I'm speaking about the "Real Deal!"  Yes it is all about Jesus, the Son of the Living God!  Yeah!!!!  I love it!  I'm sensing Revival breaking out in this region!
