Is It Global Warming?

Greetings again from Texas...

Everyone is talking about the weather these days!  Just about any network news broadcast has at least one environmental story on per day.  Pictures of the Artic Ice Pack shrinking in size, of glaciers retreating hundreds and thousands of yards, of Penguins and Polar Bears dying off seem to be more than abundant!  As an American I find that my country is taking most of the blame for all of this, even by our own liberal media!  Little attention is given to China's stinking smoke stacks and sewage clogged rivers and I have to wonder why?  It seems that once again we "greedy Americans" are to blame for all of these environmental problems.  I also find it interesting that little is ever mentioned about the increased heat that the sun is emitting, or that even Mars seems hotter than usual!  Check out this link and especially the picutres of the sun at the bottom of the article:

However, I would like to direct you to the real problem of Global Warming and environmental issues that even Al Gore can't take any credit for!  I have been noting that the Bible... yes you heard me... the Bible has the answers!  Go figure!  Check out:

Romans 8:18-22 (New Living Translation)

The Future Glory
"18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. 22 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time."
Please note that the Bible fully identifies our current environmental problems.  The Bible states that all of creation is moaning and groaning for its future redemption.  That redemptions is the creation of the New Heavens and the New Earth which one day will take over this dying universe of ours.  However preceeding that is another great event, one that I am happy to say is also taking place right now, that event being the "manifestation of God's Children."   Again, please look at this!  "For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are!"  Romans 8:18
Friends, God is revealing the fulness of the Kingdom of God to His Church.  We are beginning to see the need for our advancing this Kingdom over everything else in life.  The need is great as our dying planet is crying out for redemption.
We are in an election year.  We have many choices to make this year.  I wonder what would happen if EVERY TRUE CHRISTIAN would vote for morality and the preservation of the life of our children.  I have a feeling that our Living God would be totally pleased.  I am in only partial agreement with those who are saying, "The end has to come sometime, it looks like it's now."  The world as we know it does have to end sometime...however there are some of us, the true Revivalists who are screaming at the top of our lungs... "But it doesn't end now!"  We're yelling, "The Kingdom of God is coming... there are souls to reach, regions to take, kingdoms to advance, revival fires to light..then the end will and can come!"
Won't you join me this week by stating to the Lord in prayer, "Thy Kingdom come, they will be done, on EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!"  AMEN, AMEN AND AMEN!
Many blessings,
Larry the Revivalist

If I Were a Pastor...

Greetings from Luling, TX..

Last Sunday was a day with no meetings for us, so we took advantage of the time off and visited and worshiped with some local Saints.  It is a very nice church, great people, wonderful pastors and very close to the RV park we're camping in.  The Sunday morning crowd was growing and ushers had to set up extra chairs.  There were many young families in the congregation, many I suspected were very new Christians.  Of course in situations like this my mind wanders... "what would I be doing if I were the pastor of this congregation?"

With me it's always a given... I would be pressing in for revival!  During that "church service," I had to wonder just how many of those gathered knew who Charles Finney was, had they ever heard of Wales, Azuza Street, The Hebrides Islands, Cane Ridge or of the Great Awakenings #1 and #2 and were they were seeking God for The Great Awakening #3?

Then this week, as I was posting and responding on about the current possible recession being fertile ground for revival breaking out in America, I was asked a question like this from one of the posting Sisters (Ann) on the forum, "OK Larry, Mr Revivalist, do you have a strategy for revival?"  Of course my answer was, "Yes!" ( I'll post my response below)  So, if I were a pastor or house church leader, this is what I'd be doing in my church, fellowship, house church.....

"Yeah Ann, seeing that you ask.... I do Have a strategy for revival.

#1.  Define revival.  Teach that true revival is not just 3 nights of good meetings in your church.  Teach from Acts... for instance the Acts 8 revival in Samaria..."And there was great joy in that city!"  Transformation of a region, etc!

#2.  Teach from past revivals.  Most American Saints don't know diddly about the moves of God that made America.  For instance... just weeks and months prior to Azusa Street, America had an energy crisis, economic problems, a killer tidal wave in FL, and of course the great San Francisco earthquake.  Then the Fire fell.  I would encourage pastors to teach on past revival once or twice per month.  For instance do people realize the importance of the Cane Ridge Revival on the settling of the West?  What happened during Finney's meetings?  What took place in Wales or the Hebrides Islands in 1948 - 1954?  Stuff like that!  This is not to teach a repeat of these past moves, rather to make people aware of what took place.  Ann our pastors need to begin to create HUNGER for more of God!  Church as usual isn't it!

#4.  Pray, pray, pray!  I'm calling for the the return of the Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting!  There's too much teaching in our Churches!  We need a return to prayer!  I'm not just talking about just praying for Aunt Mary's hangnail either.. although that is OK, but the emphasis needs to be on more of the Holy Spirit!  In the Hebrides, two elderly, sickly women began to cry out to God for revival.  A few Saturdays later, during a men's prayer meeting in a church member's barn, the ground actually shook and revival fire fell.  Later Duncan Campbell was called and that region was changed.

5.  Go to my website, and listen to "Revival Voices of the Past."  It will really mess you up!

I'm all for creating hunger Ann!  We need to be hungry and thirsty and completely dissatisfied with the status quo!

You asked... thanks for doing so Sis!"

So if I were a pastor/church leader today, I would take every possible opportunity to create hunger for, "More Lord!"

Kingdom Blessings...

Larry The Revivalist!

Is the USA Nineveh?

Howdy from Texas!

"Jonah....Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh.  Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are."  Jonah 1: 2 (NLT)

Friends, I wish to make a very stark observation: America is in need of spiritual awakening!  If you know me well enough you'll be also know that my personal belief is that the American Church is in dire need of revival!  All of God's economy begins with His Church as we are to reflect the Kingdom of Heaven (Heaven above) as we live out the Kingdom of God on this earth.

In my past post on the "New World Order" I mentioned that I'm currently observing a lot of dire predictions in regards to the United States.  It seems that many of God's people are seeming to loose out hope for revival and are relinquishing themselves to a very pessimistic outlook for America.  I am hearing, "America deserves judgment!"  I agree... America does indeed deserve judgment!  However so do I!  For that matter, so do you!  We all deserve judgment, yet instead, we've personally encountered the love of God, His wonderful grace and great mercy through our relationship with Jesus Christ!  Thank you Lord!!!

Ole Jonah's first response to God's call was to run.  Of course we know how that ended... he became "fish bait!"  We can't run from God!  Finally after his release from sea weed draping his face, Jonah obeyed and fulfilled his call and told Nineveh, "Forty days from now Nineveh will be destroyed!" (3:4b)  The response of the people of Nineveh was astronomically positive!  The Bible says that the people believed Jonah's message, they declared a fast and put on burlap to show their sorrow.  Even the king took off his royal robes exchanging them for burlap and sat on a heap of ashes.  The king then declared  a corporate fast, with all the people and their animals wearing garments of mourning and mandated that everyone must pray to God and turn from their evil and wicked ways, thus stopping all violence.  (3:5-9)

Please observe Jonah 3: 10 (NLT), "When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, HE CHANGED HIS MIND and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened!"  (emphasis mine)  Once again the mercy of God prevailed!

So I ask, "Is the USA Nineveh?"  Does America deserve judgment?  Of course we do!  However, please allow me to point you in another direction today.  The writer to the Hebrews said this, "So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees.  Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong."  Heb. 12:12

Then please observe Heb. 12: 26b - 27 (NLT), "Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also. This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain."  Friends there is a whole lot of shaking going on!  Why?  Because God is revealing His Kingdom to us and calling us forth to enter fully in.

Please do not give up hope on the American Church!  Please do not give up hope on America!  We all deserve judgment, yet we are about to enter into the greatest time of revival that we've ever seen.  God is in the process of showing us the magnitude of His Kingdom and is bidding us entry.  Come on Church... enter in!  Jump into the fulness of the Kingdom of God.  If you see bad things in America then you have been called to change them.  You can make a difference, you are Citytakers!

Look at one more passage, Heb. 12: 28-29 (NLT), "Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.  for our God is a devouring fire!"

How about we all give America another chance!  Let's begin crying out to God for America.  I know that many are, many like Lou Engle ( are spearheading a "Call" to repentance, etc.  However, how about us personally?  I would love to see the "old fashioned prayer meeting" re-instituted in our churches.  We've got enough Wednesday evening teaching, let's go back to our knees, crying out for revival, for the Third Great Awakening!

Is America headed for revival or judgment?  Well, it's pretty much up to you!  I for one believe that America is headed for the greatest time of spiritual renewal and awakening and revival that our Nation has ever seen!  This is my call....  After all...I'm "Larry the Revivalist!"

Receiving God's Government

Greetings from South/Central Texas:

Note from Larry:

This morning at 8:00 a.m. (Sat. 1/12) Corinne and I participated in our monthly Circuit Preachers International ( conference call.  We have formed a association of traveling ministers who have a heart for God, and have decided to come into an accountability relationship with one another.

This morning's call was interesting in so that all who participated seemed to have their ministry currently in one sort of a holding/waiting pattern or another.  We shared together, read the Word together and prayed together, thus building hope within each of our hearts!  Hope seems to be falling by the way side lately.  Those with hearts burning for God seem to be in some sort of holding pattern right now.  I speak to many who are loosing some of their hope.  Other's are full of hope, burning within, just awaiting release of their vision.  I recall the days of commercial flying prior to jet aircraft.  I remember sitting on the runway with the brakes of the plane fully set and the engine rpms reving up...the deafening roar would intensify and you could feel the thrust and torque of the plane beginning to build.  I would often think this plane is screaming to be free!  "Launch me, release me" every rivet and sheet of metal would seem to be saying!  At a certain point, the pilot would release the brakes and the propellers would begin to aim skyward quickly rushing to total freedom from all of the earth's restrictions.  Soon that airplane would begin to be what it was designed to be... a free flying bird... off into the "wild blue yonder!"

Please take a few more minutes and read the article below.  It is written by my friend, Ron McGatlin of  Ron makes some very great points in, "Receiving God's Government."  I think he does a great job giving us a glimpse at what we're all waiting for!

Receiving God's Government

By Ron McGatlin

The current movement toward the governance of God continues at a rapid pace. Adjustments are not always easy. However, there is no alternative for God's people. Turning back is not an option. Life is before us and not behind us. Where we once found life there is now dry brush awaiting a spark and a wind to become a fire storm.

For most of us the old lukewarm Sunday-only religion died a long time ago. Even the awesome outpourings and revivals of the 90s have waned. Today the powerful prophetic and the newer apostolic movements are being invaded with the philosophies of human thinking and natural networking organizational methods.

My spirit grieves as the ways of the fallen world continue to invade even the fresh moves of God. We expect to see corruption in the fallen world, but our hope is brutally attacked when we see the people of God and the ministries of God infiltrated with the values of the fallen world. We are to be the Body of Christ, the temple of God. It is an abomination for the fallen world's ways to stand in the temple of God.

Where is hope?

When we see the abomination of desolation standing in the temple where it ought not be, it is time to run for the hills, the high places of intimate oneness with the High and Lofty One Who dwells in the high and holy place with the humble and contrite ones. Hope is ahead of us and not behind. There is no hope behind us but only a certain dread of awaiting judgment.

Heb 10:26-27:  For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

Isa 57:15:  For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Glorious hope and great joy are before us in the fulfillment of our lives and purposes in this world. Leaving those things which are behind, we press forward into the reality of knowing Christ as we are known. God's governance begins and consists in the Spirit-to-Spirit living connection of love and life with God in heaven and God in His people.

The great paradox of passing through death unto life while yet remaining a living soul on earth is paramount in receiving the government of God. Each of us will experience the rotting of yesterdays manna as the new fresh reality of God flows from heaven by His Spirit to us and through us to renew the world - to bring forth beauty for the ashes of yesterday's mixtures.

The Governance of God Flows From Heaven

In the first century Jesus and His disciples were an outpouring of life in a dry and barren land of religion and tradition. Like an oasis in a desert land, heavenly life was birthed in Jesus and became a flowing river of life at Pentecost. The life-giving Spirit of Christ became a mighty river transforming the ashes of barren, burned-out lives into humble, redeemed men and women filled to overflowing with the life of God.

As the people in the upper room waited, they grieved for the loss of their beloved leader, Christ Jesus. They faithfully waited as instructed and became the ones to receive the coming of the Holy Spirit to forever change their lives and affect the world.

The grieving spirits of today's outcast holy people of God who are longing for righteousness to prevail in the land will spring forth in joy after the harsh winter of judgment has changed the landscape of current humanity. Righteousness of the kingdom of God shall cover the barren land like fresh grass in the springtime bearing sweet blossoms of pure holy life. The hope of spring sustains us through the darkness of winter.

The government of God rest upon the shoulder of Christ.

Jesus, the head, fully joined to His Body, will rule and reign on earth. The shoulder is of the Body upon which the head rests and the government is carried. It is Christ in you that is the hope of the glory of God on earth as it is in heaven. The humble, holy, glorious, power and wisdom of Christ flows from heaven through the Spirit of Christ empowering the Body to flow God's righteous love. Thus, the bright new reality of the government of God rules on earth.

Isa 9:6-7:  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Receive the sent ones bearing the gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd, and teacher.

Receive the governance of Christ flowing through His sent ones as elders, and do not forsake the assembling of ourselves to stir up love and good works by exhorting one another.

Heb 10:23-25:  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Receiving the gifted sent ones and assembling of ourselves does not mean going back to the old way and becoming part of the dry brush of the dry barren land of past religion. It means to assemble ourselves and exhort one another and let the Spirit of Christ flow life among the assembled ones. There are awesome and needed spiritual gifts flowing from Christ in assembling together with even two or three.

And there will be powerful and needful life flowing through the Spirit from group to group as the traveling elders gifted as apostles, prophets, evangelist, and teachers move about under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Holy elders in the groups will know by the Spirit to receive the mobile gifted elders and see to their provision. Traveling elders will help see to the stirring up love and good works by spiritual exhortations.

Receive and bless the apostles (the sent ones) who bring life.

All whom God sends as true spiritual apostles of today bringing the fresh word of the governance of God have paid a great price and are humble servants of the Most High and Holy One. They often have little of the world's riches and have suffered serious rejection and ridicule. The painful treatment they endure breaks down any residue of pride and fills them with pure, holy love and extraordinary faith and wisdom as the Spirit of Christ abides within and fills them with the power and word of God.

These are not the ones who retain their pride and bless themselves with fancy cloths, expensive cars, high powered air planes and such. Neither are they the prideful poor who are always seeking more. They are often the rejected, persecuted, defamed, dishonored, and reviled who are seen as fools for Christ sake.

1 Cor 4:9-13:  For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake... We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

Paul, who wrote the above, was greatly blessed to spend seasons among God's people from city to city enjoying the love and warm fellowship of the people as He brought them fresh words of life from the broader perspective of what Christ was doing in groups across the world he traveled. His genuine love and care for the children of God made him a true spiritual father type to them as he led them to the Father through Christ Jesus. He probably would not have survived the hardships of being sent if it were not for the seasons of refreshing and blessing with God's people.

Know those who labor among you. Receive and bless the sent ones abundantly. Send them on their journey with provision and blessing. We are their home and family. Be even more diligent as the darkness of spiritual winter approaches.

Keep on pursuing love.
It never fails.

The New World Order (NWO)

Tony_blair I have felt for a few days that I wish to introduce to you the "New World Order," NWO for short.  Yep, I'm gonna take a minute and reveal to you the exact information that you will need to completely survive and even prosper during these days of uncertainty.

However, before beginning allow me to make a few observations.  I've been a Christan since 1973.  During these days I have observed many coming and going fads, trends and even teachings.  I recall some books about the "Late Great Something or Another"  (I added the "Something or Another).  If I recall these books and even films came on the scene during the late 1970's and pretty much stated that by the current time we're living in the Rapture should have already taken place.  I recall the "Buzzards of Israel."  Some of you may recall the teaching back in the late 70's about the influx of buzzards that were gathering in Israel, preparing to eat the carnage of Armageddon.  Later some missionary friends were there, they were purposefully looking for buzzards and nary a bird they did see!  How about the one of Jesus returning in 1988?  The other day I heard on a Austin, TX talk radio station of a noted, big named religious leader who made a prediction in 2007 that America was going to be attacked by a terrorist sponsored nuclear event.  When it didn't materialize, the man making the prediction said that it didn't happen due to all of the prayers of God's people... Hummmm O.K.... but isn't that an easy out?  It seems that so many of the so called "Prophetic Leaders" of today are making predictions that don't come to pass, and again... nary a word is said!  Accountability??  It seems like in many cases today the word "accountability" is a foreign word.

So lately I've been hearing so much doom and gloom coming from so many Christians.  For example:  "Don't expect revival as God's judgment is falling on America."  And... "It doesn't matter who we vote for as God's going to give us the person we deserve that will help usher in the New World Order."  I'm not seeing a hunger for revival, for Kingdom living, I'm hearing despair.... "Store up 10 weeks of food and water so you can survive the Bird Flu."  How about, "The weather is proving God's wrath is falling on our Nation!"  And on and on it goes.......

So I felt that today, it would be a great time to introduce to you the real New World Order!  If you are reading this post, then most likely this is your future too!  Ready??? Hear we go..... (all underlines are added by me)

Matthew 13:11-13 (New Living Translation)

New Living Translation (NLT)

Holy Bible. New Living Translation copyright © 1996, 2004 by Tyndale Charitable Trust. Used by permission of Tyndale House Publishers.

11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. 12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. 13 That is why I use these parables,

For they look, but they don’t really see.
They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.

Matthew 11:11-12 (New Living Translation)

11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is! 12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.

Matthew 24:13-14 (New Living Translation)

13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

Daniel 11:32 (King James Version)

32And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Folks, there are many more verses I could share with you on this subject.  However to you and I the true New World Order will be a total manifestation of the Kingdom of God!  Is there revival coming?  You bet!  This move of God will be the greatest move of God in all of history!  It will be a revival of the Kingdom of God!  You are I are coming into the true revelation of who we really are.  Get ready Church.... Great things are in your future!  Oh, let the world be the world... but you and I are kings!
Now one last thing......if you have the time please read the following.  It speaks for itself!

Romans 8:18-30 (New Living Translation)

The Future Glory
18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. 22 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. 24 We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. 25 But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

Kingdom blessings,

Larry the Revivalist!
