A Great Love Story!

The Old Time Preacher used to be quoted, "It's better felt than telt!"

I know what that concept means, as I have things stirring within the depth of my heart that I don't have the communication skills to express.  For example, many years now, Corinne and I have been traveling our Nation sharing Jesus with all who will listen.  Our belief is that many Saints do not truly know Jesus Christ.  I'm not saying that they are not "saved," but they do not know true intimacy with Christ, hindering them from fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28.  The Church's lack of knowing who Jesus Christ really is reduces Her to fear of failure and a lack of experiencing the the unconditional love of God, Her Lover.  Thus our Nation is not changed!  Corinne and I are trying to release the revelation of Christ and His Kingdom, so are many others.

Therefore I'd like to introduce to you Frank Viola!  Frank is a very interesting man.  It seems that many either love him, or don't understand him.  Frank has written many books that have come face to face with religious tradition, and we all know what happens when we challenge tradition.... Oh My!  So no matter what you think of Frank, no matter whether you agree or disagree with his past writings, YOU JUST HAVE TO READ HIS NEW BOOK, "God's Ultimate Passion!"

I have often wondered how many books I've read since becoming a Christian in 1973, if only to have a dollar for each one!  Of all of those books, many great ones, I'd like to suggest that Viola's new book ranks in the very top 10!  I also would suggest that "God's Ultimate Passion" is the most important book that Frank Viola has ever written!

Frank deals with three important thoughts and then eloquently brings them all back into total unity and life changing comprehension.  The thoughts dealing with the Bride of Christ, The House of God and The Body of Christ & The Family of God, will literally rock your world!  And, if you struggle in your relationship with God, watch out as you will soon be entering into brand new territory.  In this work Viola captures the depth of passion that Christ has for His Bride that very few authors have been able to express.

One last thing ...... "God's Ultimate Passion" is not just a one time read and then to be reduced to a dusty book shelf someplace.  This book is one you will pick up and refer to for the remainder of your life on earth.  It is also a book that you will want to purchase many copies of, as your friends and family will thank you forever if you give them a copy.  This book is a simple, timely revelation of God's purposes for His Bride that will bless all who read it.  To be honest, "God's Ultimate Passion" is so in unity with my heart, I have to kick myself for not writing it myself!

If you have already read this book, how about joining me by sharing a comment about it below.  Just click on the little "comment" button at the bottom of this blog article and follow the simple directions.

And if you are interested, you can purchase "God's Ultimate Passion" at

Be blessed this week and let me know later what you think of "God's Ultimate Passion."

My Birthday Present

Greetings from Sacramento!

OK... Today I turn the big 60.  Wow..how fast the time passes by!  You know the problem is that I still am thinking that I'm just a kid!  Oh Well, that's the way it goes.

As far as a birthday present goes, there is only one thing that I'd like to receive this year more than any other thing in life.  That is Kingdom Revival!  I have asked the Lord to give me this present before He takes me home to Glory.  So, how about joining me in praying for a mighty move of God today?

Here is what I want to see in my present:

  • Not just good meetings in a church, but complete life giving transformation of The Church
  • A move of God where the Body of Christ is completely doing the work of the ministry
  • Entire regions of our Land being changed by the power of God
  • The Church so completely in love with God that She can do nothing other than bask in an intimate relationship with Him.
  • Signs, wonders and miracles flowing like water, cancer being completely defeated, etc.
  • Such a revived Church that the Harvest of the Lost follows naturally
  • The Church knowing who She is in relationship to the Kingdom of God

It's my birthday, I've already done a lot of work this morning, so I don't feel like I want to write a long article.  So please allow me to close with one of my favorite verses of Scripture... Acts 8: 4 - 8.  I'm going to add to it some emphasis points, but please allow it to sink into your heart today.  Yep, let's all pray for revival!

"But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went.  Phillip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah.  Crowds listened intently to Phillip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs that he did.  Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims.  And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed.  So there was great joy in that city."

Thanks for joining me in this prayer!

More EASY Button!

Howdy from Sacramento, CA.....

It's Monday morning, May 14.  Rascal (our Budgie)  and I are up early, enjoying a beautiful California morning.  Rascal and I have become pretty close the past few days as our Traveling Buddy, Corinne has been gone since last Tuesday morning.  Yep, we've been all alone, nearly a week now!  Corinne had the opportunity to fly back to Michigan for a week, and get in some good time with all of our children  (5) and grand children (now 16, with the birth of Little Alex, last weekend).  So Rascal and I have been doing some quality bonding!

You know... Corinne and I have been married over 40 years now.  In a few weeks I'll be turning my back on another decade of life, as I'll be hitting the BIG 60 on May 21!  So that means that my wife and I have been together for the greatest portion of our lives.  I guess it's OK to confess that a little part of me is aching from missing my Bride and Best Friend!  But just a few more days to go, Wednesday night she'll be flying into the Sacramento Airport on a Northwest Airlines "mission of mercy" to Rascal and I.

OK...enough of the mush.  Like my Mom told me Saturday, "You'll get over it!  And before you know it, Wednesday night will have arrived".  But you know, there is something a little deeper here than just Larry missing Corinne that I'd like to share with you, something that the Lord is really burning into our spirits to share with the Church.

So often husband and wives will come to Corinne and I during some of our meetings around the Country and say something like, "Wow.. we feel that God would  have us travel the Nation in a motor home and minister in churches all over, just like you!"  Our first response back to them is...."Sure hope you have a great marriage!"  The pressures of ministry today have never been greater, then add to that pressure, the close confinement of RV living, and the stress can really be overwhelming.  If a couple does not have a pretty powerful marriage, the net result will not only end in ministry failure, but complete disintegration of the marriage and home!

Too many today are looking for the big "Red EASY Button" (see May 6 blog below) so that it can be pushed and ....PRESTO - CHANGEO--- INSTANT - PERFECT MARRIAGE AND FAMILY!   Can you say, "Fantasy Island?"  With all of the stress of today's living, marriages and the family and, even the Church are greatly suffering!  If you have been following our ministry at all, you are fully aware of the fact that we seek Revival for the Church, we call it "Kingdom Revival."  Why Kingdom Revival?  We, and others, sense that there is coming a mighty revelation to God's Bride, His Church, of who she is within the Kingdom of God.  This revelation will actually usher in the coming of the Lord.  The Bible really makes this clear in several places, like Matthew 24: 14 "And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and the the end will come." (NLT)  The message of the Kingdom of God must go forth, and the revelation of it must be quickened into the hearts and lives of every Believer in Jesus Christ.

In this "Gospel of the Kingdom" also comes the revelation of the godly family and it's relationship to the Church.  The Holy Spirit is revealing much to us in these areas and we will be ministering on more of this in our meetings around the Country.  However, I'll have to save much more of this to a later blog, as I don't wish to make this one too long.  Let me share just one more verse of Holy Writ for you... Ephesians 5: 31 - 33 (again NLT), "As the Scriptures say, "A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united in to one."  This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.  So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." (emphasis mine)

Healthy Families are a prime goal of our ministry results.  Please let us know how we can pray for you.  Just post a comment to this blog by hitting the little "comment button" below.  Remember there is no "Big Red EASY Button" for your marriage, but there is one Big God who's love is greater than can ever be imagined, and He's on your side!  From Jesus flowed His blood, tap into Him today.

The EASY Button

Greetings from Sacramento!

By now I am certain that you have seen the TV commercial promoting a large, nationwide, American office supply store.  You know which one I'm talking about, the commercial deals with office employees pushing the large, red, EASY button.  It seems that all of your office problems disappear if you push this button, and of course the implication is that by shopping at this store all of your office difficulties will immediately vanish.

Here's a short thought for you today.......  Isn't it the same in today's brand of American Christianity?  It seems that the Saints of today either are searching for or have claimed title to their own, personal EASY button!  We know that all we have to do is to attend the next great prophecy conference, get a word from the Lord and all of out current problems of life will be gone.....almost like magic!  Hummm.... I wonder if there is something to this magic thing???  Anyway, let's make it EASY for everyone and we'll fill our churches to over flowing!

The American Church has done an excellent job of promoting this gospel.  I guess we've been forced, out of necessity, to preach this Pablum, cause if we don't, then who will be left to pay the bills?

How does the big red, EASY button square with the Bible?

  • John 16: 33, (NLT) "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me.  Here on earth you will  have many trials and sorrows.  but take heart, because I have overcome the world."    (emphasis mine)
  • Acts 14: 21-22, (NLT) "After preaching the Good News in Derbe and making many disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch of Pisidia, where they strengthened the believers.  They encouraged them to coninue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God."    (again emphasis mine)

Friends, I have bad news for you.... if you are looking for your own, personal, super sized, big red, super-duper, spiritual, Christian EASY button.... It just doesn't exist!

This morning I keep hearing, "On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand!  All other ground is sinking sand!" OK.... here's the rest of the words: (scroll down)

~blessings Larry (my web site: www.larrysilverman.com)

The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

Refrain:
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand -
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In ev'ry high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.

Refrain:
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand -
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

Refrain:
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand -
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in Him be found,
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Refrain:
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand -
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

Be Ye Healed!

Howdy from Woodland, CA

I mentioned in the last blog (see: "One Man or Many), that I've been reading books on the life and ministry of William Branham.  Also, before I go much further into this post, I'd like to mention, that I am fully aware of the error that Branham got himself into and I do not in any way promote it.  Yet, I also wish to state that I do not feel to "throw the baby out with the bath water!"  Branham had a very powerful ministry and was used greatly of God to touch many, many people with the power of Jesus Christ.  Just yesterday, I spoke on the phone with an "Old Timer" who used to eat lunch with Branham while he was ministering in Minnesota.  My friend told me that the stories that I had read were true.  By the way, the book I'm reading is:

"Supernatural: The Life of William Branham."  This quote is from "Book Three: The Man and His Commission (1946-1950)  by: Owen Jorgensen and published by: Tucson Tabernacle, 2555 North Stone Ave., Tucson, AZ 85705 USA.  (ISBN 0-9700955-3-8)

A very interesting fact about Branham's meetings are that the more he prayed for people, the more that got healed, the longer the prayer line was the next night.    During Branham's record eight days of continuous meetings, the prayer lines seemed to never cease, and even with eight days and nights of constant ministry, Branham was never able to pray for everyone who came for their miracle.  Branham actually took some naps behind the pulpit, and guess what?  The people just stood there and waited for him to awaken and continue the prayer ministry!  Can you imagine that happening today?  Not so!

During Branham's day, the people who got healed, got on the phone and called every sick person they knew and even brought the sick and dying to the meetings in ambulances.  The faith of these people brought extreme miracles.  When reading this I'm reminded of the guys who cut a hole in the roof and dropped their friend through the roof to the feet of Jesus so that he might be healed!

My good friend, Evangelist Roger Webb (www.rogerwebb.org) often tells us of his miracle meetings.  Roger has real miracles happen all the time in his meetings.   Roger doesn't just talk about miracles, they really happen!   He often tells me about what's going on in his meetings, usually giving me daily reports.  During the heat of a meeting he actually called me on his cell phone and had me listen to what's going on.

I remember Roger telling me of one meeting in New York State.  The first night they had about 60 in the meeting, and I recall him saying that about half of the people got healed, the real deal, with very obvious signs, wonders and miracles happening.  Roger thought that the next night the crowd would double.  Not so!  The next night there were only 30 in the meeting, many still got healed, but the following night was the last night as people just didn't show up or bring any of their sick friends, relatives or neighbors.  What's with that?  It's just signs of the times.... ~I got my miracle, and I'm too distracted with things in my life to even suggest that I make a few phone calls and bring my sick friends to the meetings~   Here's the bottom line...PEOPLE JUST DON'T CARE ANYMORE!  CAN YOU SAY .....DISTRACTIONS??

What's the answer to this dilemma? CAN YOU SAY....REVIVAL?

How about Psalm 85: 6, "Won't you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you?"

Then how about Isaiah 64: 1-4, "Oh, that you would burst from the heavens and come down!  How the mountains would quake in your presence!  As fire causes wood to burn and water to boil, your coming would make the nations tremble.  Then your enemies would learn the reason for your fame!  When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations.  And oh, how the mountains quaked!  For since the world began, no ear has heard, and no eye has seen a God like you."

Often Corinne and I wonder if ministry like ours is done!  Have we entered an era when people just don't care any longer?  Are we at a place where the only way we can get meetings or see people come to meetings is to compromise and water our ministry down?  We're asking lots of questions these days.  However we still come up with the same answer....JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER!  As for me and my house, we'll believe that truth forever!  And if you want healing in your church, you better give us a call.  If not us, give my friend Roger a call and watch what happens!  The Revivalists of today are still on a roll and the Tidal Wave of the Spirit is about the hit the beach!

Kingdom blessings,

Larry
